Baroness bus crash driver faces charges.

Norman Markus, the driver involved with the Baroness UK bus crash on the August 15, 2012 faces charges.  According to BBC News, the driver of the bus — a German national by the name of Norman Markus — will be charged with dangerous driving. The 39-year-old also faces charges of using a vehicle with defective brakes and breaching a 7.5-ton weight limit, insufficient daily and weekly rest periods and using a vehicle in a condition likely to cause danger of injury. He has also been charged with not having the correct license entitlement to drive the coach involved in the crash.

Markus is due to appear before Bath Magistrates’ Court on April 5.

Baroness member John Baizley (guitar, vocals) broke his left arm and left leg in the accident. Allen Blickle (drums) and Matt Maggioni (bass) each suffered fractured vertebrae.
